    Evening all.

I have one small question I hope somebody can answer regarding the modified Satnav mount on my new Trophy SE... See attached!

That appears to be a TomTom cable and half the original Sat Nav mount if I'm right? As much as I hate my painfully slow TomTom I do at least own one, so this could be useful, but it looks like I'm missing part of the original mount?

I've searched and read the instructions elsewhere on the forum, and I've seen that you can use the 4 holes on the Zumo bracket to fit the TomTom mount, but I seem to be missing the 4 holes...

Could anybody confirm a) my diagnosis and b) a suggestion as to what I need to replace to attach something to it?

    Thanks!

I like my Rider 550 much better than any previous GPS I've had because the ease of entering addresses.  Just like you would tell someone your address and it just comes right up with a list that gets shorter and shorter the more characters you enter, or you can scroll down the list at any time and pick the right one.  What I don't like is no audio out provision other than bluetooth, so the audio can't be connected directly to the Trophy's audio system.

I think mine's an earlier one, possibly a 400 or 450. On paper it's great, but I find it's now so slow to react that it's too dangerous to use on the move - there is often a 3-5 second lag between pressing a button and getting a reaction, so everything from searching to interacting with the map is hard work. I'm sure it was better when I got it, but updates seem to have killed it

I have the 550 model and at the beginning it was fine, after the updates it goes slow and restarts constantly.

Oh that’s disappointing - I was hoping they’d fix the speed problems and I could flog my BMW motorrad Garmin to upgrade to the 500.

I just ran 4 updates through mine and haven't been out since, due to unpleasant weather.  The weather is getting really nice this weekend so I'll be out some and I'll check to see how it's working and post something about it.
