hello from Oregon
« on: February 14, 2020, 01:37:29 AM »
Picked up a 2013 Trophy SE at the end of October and have put 1400 miles on since. i also have a 2018 Tiger XRt, 2010 Thunderbird, 2004 Speed Triple, 2003 Moto Guzzi V-11 LeMans & 1981 Yamaha XS 650. I'm retired and widowed so get carried away at times. In 2018 i sold six bikes and bought three. Last year I bought two. Always on the lookout for the next one.  :008: Did an 8300 mile trip last summer on the Tiger, 13 states and two Canadian provinces. I also have a 29 ft toy hauler so it allows me to spend a couple of months a year in AZ. The Trophy and the Tiger have the same drivetrain with the Trophy geared a little lower so gets better gas mileage. The Tiger has all the electronics and they lightened the flywheel so supposedly revs up a little quicker but not really noticeable. They have different character so not like riding the same bike by any means. But with either one I keep thinking how much i like this bike! If anyone comes through the PNW, I'd be happy to show you some of my favorite local roads.

Welcome to the gang blkvsn!  That's a pretty large stable you have - hopefully the Trophy will get it's fair share of miles.  You might be able to hook up with Saddle Tramp, as he winters in AZ as well, although he's about to head out to Texas for a meetup of the Twisted Trophies...  Enjoy & ride safe!

:400: to the forum.  Where in Arizona?  Forum member Saddle Tramp from Wisconsin winters in Arizona.  He'll probably be around here shortly to welcome you.

 :401:

As my friends and fellow Forum Members have already pointed out, I am in the Phoenix area for the Winter, except for a little diversion to Texas to meet the Twisted Trophies for a few days of fun rides and tall tales.

If you are currently in Arizona, why not tag along and get acquainted?
I am leaving early Sunday morning for the 650+ mile ride to our meeting point in Alpine, Texas.

Otherwise, send me a pm if you want to get together for a ride...
