Triumph members meet up.
« on: February 14, 2020, 07:50:24 PM »
Okay folks, finally I have some news on a possible meeting.

The National Motorcycle Museum have got back to me, I think someone has got hold of the wrong end of the stick  :138:.
I asked about a gathering of our bike's outside the museum, and for a possible reduced, if not free entry into the museum it self.
The have sent me a costing through for the hire of a couple of rooms, numbers dependant, plus a buffet   :027:....This is a price of £4999, ...I'm going to suggest to just turn up, park up in an area and enjoy the day, there is a restaurant on site, a bit pricy, but nice food, and of course, the museum it's self, I have been in, and it's good.

Failing that, I will approach the Triumph Factory in Hinkley AGAIN, and ask the same question, if we can just turn up, and do a tour of the factory.

Please let me know if your interested as I'm being asked numbers, and cannot give that information, this is still being planned for June.

Thank You

Paul Wilko.

Given the choice I'd pefer the Triumph Factory as I haven't been there yet.

I have been to the National Motorcycle Museum,  which was quite interesting,
but it didn't leave me yearning for a return visit.

If there are several Member sthat DO prefer that venue, then I would "go with the flow" !

I have NO Saturdays free in June.

If I remember correctly, a date of Sunday 28th June was originally suggested ?

I've kept that date free !

The only other Sunday I have free in June is Sunday 14th.

I'd suggest steering clear of Sunday 21st June as it's the "Birmingham Velo"
with  lots of road closures and diversions for anyone travelling through Birmingham.

Cheers  :821:

Smiles are infectious, and they are FREE,
so if you see someone without one, give them one of yours :-)

Quite right Coconut, the 28th of June was suggested.

I have never been to the Triumph Factory myself, I will contact them this coming Monday 17th Feb.

I will post on here.

Regards

I am giving notices to the owners of Trophy and for the moment, we are interested in two motorcycles and four people.

I know it is not easy to prepare a meeting of this kind. But it's worth trying.

Thanks Wilko for great work.
