Replacement Headder pipes
« on: February 16, 2020, 03:40:37 PM »
Hi all. I had these arrive in the week, they came off a 2013 bike, but 13k less than mine...about 13000 miles.
They was on Ebay for £140 advertised as excellent condition, which they are, I have yet to fit them, waiting for better weather, 3 of the "tangs" have snapped off on mine, hence the replacement header pipes.
I will give then a clean up with a wire wheel, and good old Harpic Max, if you have never tried this, your missing out, it dissolves rust practically, and with a bit of elbow grease, well, I added a couple of photos of my Honda CBF1000 after the same treatment, these pipes was in the same sort of condition, and being exposed, they let the bike down, so hey presto, and a quick cleaning after, they should look like that for a long time.

I will, I will do it this weekend coming, weather permitting, but not going to be a 5 minute job. :164:

Wilko,
Great job. I like them. I hope to see it finished and installed on your motorcycle.
