OK - Here's s few things that might save an unnecessary trip to the Dealer :
It's possible that the heated grips are not actually fitted ! !
They are an optional addition and not standard equipment.
The switch on the handlebars is fitted to every Trophy,
and a lot of Dealers think this means that the actual Heated Grips are also fitted.
If you were told by the Sales "person" that Heated Grips were fitted,
and it transpires that they are not, then you have a good case
for going back to the Dealer for them to be fitted at no extra cost.

You can easily check whether they are fitted by carefully peeling back the left-hand Grip rubber
to see if there are wires underneath for the heating elements.
Alternatively you can remove the glove box ( 1 external screw and 1 internal screw,
then lift the Glove Box upwards and to the rear to disengage the 2 pegs from
their rubber grommets under the front edge ), then have a look underneath for
the two small white rectangular connectors, to see if anything is plugged in to them.
If Heated Grips ARE fitted, note that they only work when the engine is running.
When switched ON with the engine running, Icons should appear at the lower corner of the Instrument Panel, and are removed from the display a few seconds after switching the Grips OFF.

The Icons
sometimes need to be enabled before they will appear on the display,
either by insertion of a bridging link plug that replaces a blanking plug also located
under the Glove box, on the sub harness feeding the Glove Box Power socket.
Some Trophies did not have the Bridging Link arrangement, where the Icons can be
enabled or disabled within the Dealer accessible menu. ( Trophies
with the
Bridging Link can also be enabled and disabled in this way ).
Enabling / Disabling of the Icons can also now be accessed by use of
the after market
“DealerTool” device.Note also that even if the Icons do not show up on the screen,
the Heated Seats should still work !
Hope this helps !
