    Innov K2 camera system

I'm going to do this backside foremost.  Usually I will seek opinions on systems before I purchase.  This time I've already ordered the Innov K2 (£300 so not cheap)  and am seeking feedback from any TTSE owners who may have this system.  You happy with it?

To be honest, my previous £40 twin camera setup was OK, but cheap, with impossible to interpret Chinese instructions.  Still, it worked.  What's anyone's views on the Innov product?

Novocastrian, to say that on this website there are very interesting devices.

    Thanks for the input.

Well, I do not have that camera model, but it is very similar and also goes with an AaPp to the mobile.

Another thing that perhaps is not given importance, is the GPS system, it is not a GPS as we are used to using, that is, it is not that it indicates the route that we have previously given it an address, if not, when you do a route and the camera system has always been in operation, it will record the entire route in question, make a map of the places that have been passed, speed at all times of the vehicle. I think I remember that it also adds days and hours.

I hope my experience has served you.

I bought the Innov C5 after trying a few of the cheap chinese versions ( total waste of money) Not had chance to do much with the C5 as riding time has been very limited this year so far, but reviews look good.

Digital, yes the GPS looks interesting...to play with.   Downloading routes and speeds will indeed be interesting.  Baz1, I did look at the C5 but having been shunted in the back end before, I wanted a rear camera as well.

I'm going to try if I can take a screenshot with some recorded video and see what the GPS shows.

I have been using an INNOV-K2 system for a couple of years and think it is excellent as a Dash Cam but not so good for video recordings of rides.

I previously tried a TomTom Bandit as I wanted to record Observed rides and have videos during the de-brief to show clearly the points I was trying to make.

Like all things it takes use to sort out the quirky things, the latest being mine stopped showing speed on the recordings which I traced back to doing a software update which changed my settings!

Here is a video of a close encounter using the INNOV-K2.

and here of a front and rear overtake I was discussing with a fellow rider:

    and rear:

INNOV have a good support forum where any questions have been answered.

We should meet up and compare notes, I'm only in South Shields, also we have a Zoom meeting on Saturday at 13:00 BST (-1GMT), here is the link to that.

David Badcock is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

I was going to fit a rear facing camera, but was told that the front camera should suffice for crash evidence. If you can demonstrate that you didnt doing anything out of the norm when riding, that would be sufficient to prove a case.

Novocastrian, I made the screenshot, in the video it automatically shows the route you are driving at the moment, the speed as you can see at that moment is 109 km / h.
As the video plays, the vehicle speed increases or decreases in real time.

That's very good, for example, he showed a photo that the radar controls had fined him, with this GPS system, he could know exactly the speed that was circulating in that radar pass when he was fined.

I do not see the date and time shown there, but they do not matter since in the name of the files that you create, you put the day and time, the weight of each file is user configurable.
