This is the other Trophy that's for sale near me.

It's a 2013, not sure the mileage....think I saw it listed somewhere at 28k, and they are asking $7500.

Why don't you take one for a test ride take a note of the VIN number and check if there are any recalls or issues on the model.  :164:

Sounds like a pretty good price. I believe there was a recall on earlier model Trophys concerning the engine. (Someone with more knowledge than me, concerning recalls, will hopefully  chime in)

If so, I would do as guitar man says...get the vin # and check with a Triumph shop or ask the owners if they have maintenance records and since both bikes are over 20,000 miles, definitely ask if the 20,000 mile service maintenance has been perform!

Is a 2013 or 2014 an early model?

Can you give me a rough idea of what the 20,000 mile service would run at a Triumph shop?

Might be a negotiating point if it’s overdue.

Thank you!

Is it an actual Triumph dealership your talking  to?

Either one seems like a good price but, would go with the 2014 simply because 1 year newer.
Don't believe 20,000 mile service is cheap (someone else will have to give you cost)

2 things I would definitely make sure of:

1. All recalls have been performed (including the newest ignition switch recall) which actually should be covered even after you purchased bike.

2. 20,000 service is a biggie, in my book. Call your local Triumph dealer and ask how much this service cost, if it hasn't been performed, then sounds like a bargaining  chip!  :028:

Neither of the two sellers are Triumph dealers.  Both are high volume “power sports” places.

There is a small, registered Triumph dealer in a nearby town,  I need to call them.  Thanks!
