Anyone cut down the centerstand after installing lowering links?

I a considering getting lowering links & dropping my SE down.
However, I do keep the bike up on it's centerstand when garaged.
Now, the bike is hard enough for me to get up on the centerstand. So, dropping the bike down would make it near impossible for me to get the bike up on the stand.
Has anyone shortened the centerstand legs(0.75" or so), to compensate for the reduced static height of the motorcycle?
If so, is there any guidance to be shared on how you did it?

I have a centerstand that I bought used for just that purpose, but haven't yet attempted it.  I know it's been done by more than one member.  Maybe someone will chime in.  My thought was to cut it, shorten it the desired amount, then put tube inside it and weld it up using the tubing as a backup to the weld and adding extra strength.

Exactly, so I did.

Cut and insert a piece of pipe between the 2 cut ends and once the pipe is inside, put the two cut pieces together and weld.

Note, never make electric welds on the motorcycle as it would cause serious damage to the control unit.

My bike has been lowered for 5 years now and I just carry a 10 inch piece of a 1x6,  with a beveled edge, in the pannier.  When I need to put it on the centerstand I put it in front of the back wheel then roll the bike onto it and lean it on the side stand.  Then it is easy to put the bike on the center stand without a permanent modification.  Also, it keeps the wheel up higher front or back if you need to rotate the tire to find a puncture to plug.

Just my thoughts.

I did this after I lowered my Trophy about 45mm using a threaded lowering link belonging to a GSXR Similar to soupys but a lot cheaper, Perfect fit. The riding position was so much better for my 29 inch leg. I have now lowered the pegs with the M&P kit which is also a huge improvement on less cramped legs M&P kit holes are wrong and needed a work through. Getting back to stand, I lowered it enough so that when TES is in sport the rear wheel does stay on the ground and in normal or comfort, rear wheel is off the ground about a inch. I am a welder and have good welding machine and I used the tube from an old jack handle which was a perfect fit and is of reasonable wall thickness. Perfect outcome. I have a 20mm lowering links for sale if anyone wants it. At the moment when the bike is on centre stand, it leans slightly to one side on level ground but I will easily rectify that with a small plate on one stand foot when I get around to it.
