What size is the screw?
« on: June 06, 2020, 04:15:28 AM »
We just had lunch here at work and a fellow employee told me I left the lights on my 13 TT.
With the company's new covid 19 practices,  I cant walk through the gates,  turn off the ignition and walk back in after lunch. I'd have to walk a mile around the factory to go in through the front office. I did get a person who was outside the gate to shut the ignition off.  So at least the battery isn't totally dead.  It's only been six hours.

When I leave tonight, per their new policy, I wont be able to come back in and get any tools.  If I have to jump start the bike I'll need to pull the battery cover.  Does anyone know what size the screw head is?  I seem to recall it an Allen wrench but I'm not sure. Any other tools I'll need to jump start it?

Just checked, 5mm Allen.
Take bolt out, pull panel up towards rear, then can get to positive/negative terminals.  :028:

As a newer owner, I was very surprised at how many of the bodywork screws were all the same 5mm allen - thanks for making it convenient Triumph!

There should be a 5mm allen key in your onboard toolkit, as well.  Hope you were successful at getting it started!
2015 TTSE.  It's blue.

A tool kit you say?  I forgot about the tool kit.

Anyway, the bike started without problem. I was surprised after sitting for so long with the lights on.

Thanks for the help!
