Poll

How will Triumph's change of policy on manufacturing in the UK affect your future purchasing decisions?

As long as the quality remains the same, where it is built is not relevant to my buying decision.
I wouldn't consider any Triumph that is assembled outside of the UK.
As a direct result result of this change in policy, I wouldn't buy another Triumph, irrespective of assembly location.
I hadn't planned on buying another Triumph for other reasons.

This is a re-run of a poll that was recent poll that was deleted by the previous OP before the end of the original polling period. Credit for the original idea for the poll remains his.

However, many of us were interested to see the results and were enjoying the discussion around the poll, so felt it was worth re running with slightly revised options  :028:

Having bought only Triumphs (since 1995) and having been deeply disappointed by the abandonment of John Bloor's original dedication to UK manufacturing, I decided to stick with Triumph, but only buying those from the UK's production line - even if that meant going used only. Consequently, I bought a used 2015 Trophy (to join my, owned from new, 2013 Tiger 1200) around a month ago.

I am sure that the products from Thailand are very good, but John Bloor's dedication to building a UK manufacturing base was an inspiration that seems to have been abandoned by his son and a large part of what the brand stands for has been lost.

Now if you/we can get the members to vote it will/should be interesting.   And maybe send a strong message to Triumph.

For forum members to join a vote, this thread must be kept at the beginning. If it gets lost, it makes it harder to see this post.
