High Viz lighting
« on: August 30, 2013, 09:37:28 PM »
I wanted to share my latest bit of "farkleage" on the TT.  I am quite often asked to ride as the tail gunner in my riding group, and am also asked quite frequently to ride in various processions- funeral, parade, etc.  So, with that in mind, I set out to find an inexpensive and very discrete system of high visibility flashers for my bike.  I ultimately found a simple system with 3 different flash sequences, on eBay, for about $20.  Installation was a snap, and now I am ready for all jobs thrown at me.  The pics only somewhat show the placement of the lights, and if I can get the short video posted to YouTube this weekend, I'll add the link.

I hope for some of you it will be useful and you like it.....

And, BTW, the lights are amber and white- not blue like the pics represent.  I have stopped in at a few police departments to verify that I am well with in the law with this one.....

Nice job! Am looking forward to seeing a vid of them in action.

Have you got a link to the ebay item you bought please?

That is the Givi E55 Maxia, with a light kit from AdMore Lighting.
They are bi-color LED (red for run/brake and amber for turn/hazard) and available from Twistedthrottle.com. I think the kit was about $140 US....

Looks nice. I'm sure when the cops see this they will all want to switch from BMW1200RT et all to the new TT  :745:
