    Thoughts on Mileage

So I am off to most likely purchase a 2015 TT SE this coming Saturday. The bike I found has around 31k on the clock. To be honest the highest mileage bike in 28 that I have owned was 36k on my Buell XB12S which I bought new. Should I be concerned in any way? It has been a long time since I have had a touring bike. Thanks guys!

The main thing is that bike has been looked after well, and maintained regularly.

Carefully check the Service Record, and that any applicable Recalls have been done, especially the
Igntion Wiring Safety Recall that you can read about by clicking the Link in my Signature, below.

The Trophy has an initial 500 mile "Break In" Service, and should then be serviced every Year,
or every 10,000 miles ( whichever applies first ), so a Trophy Registered in 2015 with 31,000 miles
should have had the initial 500 mile service and then 5 Annual Services - which should have included
2 x 10,000 mile services, and 1 x 20,000 mile service - where addditional operations are carried out
including checking and adjusting to the Valve clearances.

Thanks Guys! I have the long list of things to look for from this site that I will bring with me. It looks like the bike has a few scratches from being dropped or a low speed crash, but otherwise hopefully will be good. Any idea why someone would put regular mirrors on the handlebars? Seems useless. Why four mirrors?

Depending on your stature it can be difficult to adjust the mirrors
for a good rearwards view without it being obscured by your knuckles
    and / or panniers ( if fitted ) !

I have extra mirrors fitted and set them to cover Blind Spots
that don’t come into view in the Main mirrors.

Speed tripple mirrors can be used very good. I never look in the other ones!

Barbarossa, in the old days, had an impressive stature. :002:
At 178 cm.'s, I can manage very well with the standard mirrors.

Personally I find the mirrors on the Trophy to be the best I have used on a bike.  For reference, I am 193 cm tall.

To the OP, I think you are going to love this bike. It took me almost 6 years to finally get mine, but I did it and I am very happy.
