Another Motorbike?
« on: September 02, 2013, 09:50:51 am »
So part of my therapy whilst waiting for the bike to be fixed is this. If I still didn't trust the Trophy what would I get.

Kawa tourer? No. Rod eit. Hated it (both of us).

RT1200? No. Seat not as comfortable and not as good as a tourer.

FJR1300? Possible

So this then takes me to the point of asking what do I want? We were both really happy on the CB1300 so maybe a sports tourer?

Another possiblility (don't laugh) is the ZZR1400. Okay it has drops but it has risers for it, aftermarket racks (panniers etc), heated grips, is bulletproof, great fun to ride (I test rode one) and aftermarket seats for comfort.

I think it would bring the fun factor back. Yes I know the Trophy is fun but this is a differnt type of fun.

Just some thoughts I had going through my head..........

So if you did not have a TT, what would you buy?

Without a doubt, My first choice would have to be an ST1300, PAN!

It's a cracking machine, comfortable, great power, you can throw it around bends and knock up miles upon miles with discomfort.

I also like all of my extra gadgets as well, so it would be the perfect starting point for me to mod.... Just like all of the other bikes I've owned!! :)

I think that is the other issue. There is nothing to play with on the TT. I bought it with all the goodies and there is no satisfaction as there is nothing to tweak or fit.

So.. you have
  • 12v lighter socket
  • 5v usb socket
  • bike to bike radio
  • bluetooth adapter
  • additional LED spots
  • PTT button
  • Tow bar
  • ...Fury dice? :164:

I feel it does not need the LED lights (machine guns would be useful. Two SMGs strapped the the front with two spare mags in the tank bag)  :005:

Nothing.  I was, and remain, quite happy with my Triumph 955 ST.  Only the prospect of a driveshaft Triumph made me purchase an additional bike.
