Now that's a great idea. :152:

Would a felt washer last longer?

It's currently felt, and being torn by the spring clip.  I think a thin plastic washer on the clip side may prevent the edges of the clip from damaging the felts.

Ah, I thought they were neoprene or a similar material.  (I haven't had the chance to hold one in my hand yet.)  I bet a thin teflon or plastic washer between the felt bushing and clip would work wonders.

A good replacement is part no. GEA50149 from www.motorworks.co.uk as a lot of BM's use similar linkages. Being rubber lasts a lot longer than the naff foam oem from both BM and Triumph.

Brilliant! :046:  Thank you for that!  The knowledge on the forum comes through with a great solution once again.  They even list the BMW part number so I can get it at my dealer that also sells BMW.

Thanks for this LenJ  :152:

I have included the information, together with a few other Alternative Parts,
in the latest Version ( 4 ) of the downloadable Triumph Trophy Spare Parts List.

Cheers  :821:
