After 2 Trophys and ~100k miles, I have moved to a 2020 Can-Am Spyder RT
The Trophy was the best bike I've ever owned. Pure pleasure to ride long distance and pure fun to hit the twisties! I made the jump to the 'Weeble' because it's too f@cking heavy to pick up! Last run to the Smokies I set it down twice when stopping at BRP overlooks. If I was alone it would still be there!
This forum has the best knowledge base of any product I've ever been on. I hope some of my input has helped others but there's no match for the venerable Coconut! A personal thank you but there are countless others that have guided me throughout my tenure here.
I'll check in now & then but will be busy learning how to ride my non-motorcycle. (I do love high speed corners!)
Stay safe gentlemen!
Ray

Ray_B sorry to hear you've sold your Trophy. Oh, and don't listen to those that reckon the Spyder's not a bike. It floats your boat and that's all that matters. Cheers, and all the best for your future riding.
HACKLE I'm too young to be this old.

Ray, I'm sorry to see you go.
As you know, I am still enjoying your 1st Trophy. I'm up at about 65k miles now & it has been my respite through this pandemic.
So I wish you well & may be buying that spider from you, in a few years...lol!
Have fun & keep going!
A good man once told me, "Don't sell your bike. It's your soul."....

Sorry to see you go, Ray_B.
It will happen to all of us eventually...
Hope the transition to three wheels goes well for you.

Thanks guys! The Can-Am Spyder is definitely a different beast! You don't ride it like a 2-wheeler when you corner since it doesn't lean. No counter-steering so YOU need to do the leaning for maximum speed thru the corner. By clamping inside knee to the body and propping outside leg as a spar on the floorboard, you can stay aboard if you can handle the G-force on your upper body! I used to race karts so I knew what to expect and find I can stay pretty close to my 2-wheeled friends thru most turns but they eat my lunch accelerating into the straights.
As with pretty much all new bikes, the tires suck! Kendas tires are made from recycled Legos IMO. I have a replacement set of car tires coming today and will be swapping the Legos out with only 1500 miles on them.
