Accessory Outlets

Gentlemen:
                  There are two accessory outlets with round ports and spring-loaded covers. What are these used for? I assume some sort of standard power for a heated vest or some sort of rider passenger communication? Are these an industry standard, or unique to something Triumph produces?

The lower left side port is wired directly to the battery and has power all the time, and can be used for a battery charger with a Hella plug (BMW style). The one at the left side rear below the rear rack is only live with the engine running.  The one in the glove box and the top case (if fitted) are only live if the ignition switch is on.  All are 12V and rated for 10A max and fused.

Although I've not had my trophy long, I have used the left hand power socket for a heated jacket without issue.

Thanks for the info guys! So, they are power outlets. Is this a common powered clothing interface? Who makes heated clothing that just plugs in? I was thinking of getting my wife a vest since her seat does not have a heater. Is it me, or are both the seat and grips hot as hell even on the low setting? Must be damn cold riding in Hinckley.

Look up warm and safe motorcycle Clothing. Extremely good gear.

I have Gerbings that is several years old and still works well.  Not sure about the current quality.  I've heard Warm N Safe is good from other riders.

You could take advantage and put some heated grips on the back handles and your wife will surely thank you.

The grips that I mention, install and uninstall in a minute and fasten with velcro, the cables can be placed directly under the seat or put a connector and connect them to any outlet that is mentioned in this thread.

WOW!  Too cool!  That is if your wife/significant other rides with you.  Mine doesn't due to back issues.
