Front wheel removal

Hi all.
I don't have a service manual on my TTSE and my owners manual doesn't tell me how to remove the
front wheel, so I am just wondering if is their a sticky on it in this forum.

I searched front wheel removal and had lots of bits and pieces but nothing on actual wheel removal.

Place bike on centre stand, jacket up under front engine area to lift front wheel off the ground?
Does that sound about right to anyone who has done it?

It's not necessary to remove the front mudguard as long as you jack the front up high enough to remove the wheel. Cheers.  :158:

Once the bike is supported, undo the two Clamp / Pinch bolts ( 6mm Allen Key )
from the bottom of the Right fork, then unscrew and withdraw the Spindle
using a 17mm Hex Tool.


Be wary that the Spindle may have corroded onto one of the Inner Bearing races or Spacer,
which will be evident by the Spindle not withdrawing as it is unscrewed,
and the forks becoming progressively splayed apart as the spindle is unscrewed.  :233:

Wasn't sure if it's better to add to this thread or start a new one so here goes. 

After removal of the front wheel, do most/many shops want the brake rotors removed for tire replacement or can they be left alone?  I suspect/hope left alone as it appears Triumph recommends "Remove and discard the bolts." in the service manual and I'd rather not purchase bolts.  Of course, I suspect folks often reuse them.

Leave the Rotors on but be careful not to lay the wheel down onto either of them -
get some blocks of wood to put under the edges of the wheel / tire and rest
the wheel on them so that the rotors are clear of the floor.

Also make sure you tell the tire fitter that there are TPMS sensors fitted
behind the valves so that they don’t damage them !
