Digital. I would imagine that would have been "quickly' by the legs. Nothing lost in your translation skills. In fact I can picture you "legging it" out of there. Thanks for the humour.  :152: :152:

Well, in order not to get too far off topic, I couldn't explain everything that happened. But I think when it comes to mouse-eaten cables, it does matter.

The bar had some plasterboards and between the plasterboards, some other fluorescent light plates.

On top of the plates it was all made with wooden beams, and it was very dark, with little light, you could only see it by the light that the fluorescent plates gave through the bar.

So I climbed onto the plates with a flashlight and checked the wiring of the security alarm system.

It was a mountaineering job, since I had to go from one place to another, hold on to the wooden beams, until I found the fault.

In the end, I found a point where the cables were bitten by rodents and obviously my job was to repair, so I sat on one of the boards and with my feet dangling in the void.

While I was repairing the cables, I heard a small noise, turned on the flashlight and saw a fat rat staring at me with very bulging eyes.

So, like I said, I had to get out of there by legs. I mentioned it to the owner of the bar and told him that the problem with the breakdown was due to those rodents chewing cables. Have the Rodent Control company come and when it's disinfected, call me again.

I understand rats are very territorial.  Good thing you got the heck out of there since you were invading its space.  They can get mean - they think they are a German Shepard.

Side Note :  When I was in H.S. way back when, we would go to McDonalds just before closing and then feed the rats around the dumpster at the back of the parking lot french fries.  They are fun to watch if you don't get them upset.  And besides the cost of the fries, we didn't have to pay admission like at the zoo.

Slightly off topic, however, whilst serving in Bosnia during the 90's we used to watch the rats there chew through the side of the isotherm containers we used as freezers, to get to the meat we kept in them. When it became a problem, we'd get the medics in, who were in charge of health and hygiene, they would shoot them, then allow their mates to drag the dead away eating them as they went, mind you these beasts where the size of cats, so yes can understand why you got the hell out of there
