Hmmm ...
It seems that Healtech don't do a "Speedo Healer" for the Trophy,
and the product being referred to is a "PAIR System eliminator".
( "PAIR" = Pulsed Air )
In Trophy speak, it's an electronic module that you would plug in to your Trophy
after disconnecting the Secondary Air Injection ( SAI ) system,
to fool the ECU into thinking that the SAI system is still installed.
The product has "FOR RACE USE ONLY" printed on it,
and is
not advertised as giving
any performance gains,
but will prevent any Instrument Panel warnings from appearing
should you disable the SAI system.
The purpose of the SAI system is to reduce pollutant emissions.
The installation instructions mention the fitting of Blanking Plates
( not supplied ) and a need to also "eliminate" the O2 Sensor.
Apart from possibly where a performance / straight through exhaust system is being fitted
with a corresponding updated engine Tune "For Race Use", where some weight savings
might be gained by removing SAI system components, I can't see there being any
appreciable advantage, and certainly not for Road use.
Disabling the SAI system would contravene Emissions standards in most Countries,
and cause more pollutants to be expelled to the atmosphere.
In the UK this would be likely to result in a failure during
the annual "MOT" ( Ministry of Transport Inspection ).
