Comparing Trophy se with FJR 11300

Hi there, how does the Trophy compare to the FJR 1300, and other bikes in the sports touring class. for reliability, comfort, etc. One of my concerns is the weight of the Trophy, especially when parking, or turning it around in the garage. Any information about the Trophy, or other similar bikes most welcome. Many thanks.

Hallo Slideplayer.
About reliability my TT gets a 10.
Just brought her this week to the dealer for her 30.000 km service.
The first big service after 16.000 km, which is only oil change.
Just get the invoice, still a lot od moany, but no serious things.
The weight, yes like me, a bit too much.
Do not turn it in your garage. Just forward in, backward out. Or VV.
If you go faster then 10 kmph the TT is about 50 kg, simple as that.
It’s a heavy bike. But be aware a R 1250 RT is too a heavy bike! But the TT does not break down. – I know.
Compare to a FJR1300….
If my TT shout be stolen, or after an accident gets total loss, a FJR is on top of the list as a replacement.
Happily, my angel fly’ faster as I can drive..

I had an FJR for a while and found it a bit small for me. I'm 6'3" (1.98m) tall and I fit the TTSE much better, always felt a bit cramped on the FJR.
Other than that they are comparable but my TTSE has more toys on it than the FJR.

Traded in my old FJ for my new SE back in 2014, more toys on the SE but more top heavy compared to the FJ.

Similar to the R1200RT "Do Not Ride" notice from BMW for those FJR's that are affected. Seems like kind of a small number of affected FJR's considering 4 years of production, but I guess no one is making a lot of sport touring bikes any more.

I have both bikes and for truly long distance touring, the Triumph is the one you want to be on because of it's superior gas mileage, ability to pump cheap unleaded (unlike the fjr), larger more encompassing fairing and windshield, and frankly...it turns easier and quicker into turns than the the FJR. I prefer the FJR when the temperature gets hot because it permits air to flow better and it also has a smoother engine. I love the Triumph and if I had to pick one or the other it would be the Triumph
