And, since I also over-analyze :-)  I still can't figure out why the RS4's aren't listed as a viable alternative for the Trophy. But, the RS3's are now listed as a budget alternative for sport-touring, while the RS4's are their cutting-edge for grip and mileage. Revzilla shows about $260 for a set of RS3's for the Trophy - only about $20 more than the Shinko Verge 2x, and I'll get a solid 9-10k miles from the set. That might just be the best value we have available for good replacements. Who knows - maybe if I run them a bit softer than 38/44 I might get a few more miles, too :-)

Based on my recent personal experience with the Roadtec 01s, I would not recommend them.

I thought it was odd the RSIVs weren't listed as a viable option by Dunlop. I wonder why they aren't even though they obviously come in the right sizes?

My first set of Pirellis were great but when it came time to replace them they were discontinued. The newer model Pirellis have been excellent and seem to be heading towards providing even more mileage.

So apparently there's been a recall on the Michelin Road 5 GT rear tires in 190/55 17 and they are unavailable at this time. So, a set of Pirelli Angel GT II A Spec it is!

...apparently...

I cannot see anything about such a Recall on Michelin's UK Web Site.  :084:

If true, this will be of concern to any Members that have purchased these tyres.

Please provide further confirmed information about this if you have it,
or if not where you heard the "rumour" ?

I dropped my motorcycle off at the Triumph dealer for my tire replacement. The service manager informed me that due to manufacturing inconsistencies with that particular size, Michelin issued a recall on it. Some BMW riders of the K Series have been experiencing rubbing issues on the swingarm. That's about all I can tell you at the moment.
