    Hella Sharptone horn installation

Finally found the time to pull the plastic off and install the Hella horns I received for Christmas.  I installed one horn in the original horn's location and the second one on the left side of the motor.  I used the relay that came in the Hella kit in conjunction with a generic harness kit with a fuse and relay - though I used the relay that came with the Hella horns.  I routed wiring along side existing bike harnesses.  Left side horn harness was routed behind the instrument cluster and down to the left side of the motor.  Pretty straight forward.  Only problem was getting the RadGard realigned and fitted.  That was kind of a pain during the initial install several years ago as well.  I had to replace two scrivets that didn't want to cooperate, one on the bottom of the fairing and one in the LH mirror housing, but that's it.

Probably not the ideal locations but I think they sound great and hopefully will hold up over time.   :730:

I think so, yes.  Because of the horn locations, it sounds like I have more sound emanating from around my bike, which is kind of what I was hoping for.  It's certainly not the standard, "meep-meep".

brenchley; For goodness sake man! Where do you ride your Trophy?  By the looks of it, it looks like you're running off-road more than on-road.   :002: You are in Florida aren't you, or did you move to New Jersey or something? (Just poking.  :038:)

Yeah, I know...  There is so much road construction, resurfacing, etc, going on around here - the conditions of the roads on a daily basis are always a surprise.  A few months back it was mud, a lot of slick, thick mud, now it's dust and dirt and gravel.  One of these days they'll finish.  Belay that, they're starting another road resurfacing project next week.

Mostly I just rinse it off every so often.  Under current conditions it doesn't stay clean past one ride.

Brenchley, looks like you could do with a personal bike detailer.  :008: :008:

You mean your paying for his schooling and get nothing in return. Typical one sided business agreement. I'd be seeing a lawyer about drawing up a formal agreement. If that fails I suppose there's always bribery.  :008: :008:
