Is it Ok to overtake the Queen?

so , went off to Braemar this afternoon for a last fix of massed pipes before the season ends, approaching Braemar and come across a convoy led by 2 police riders with a daimler & a couple of range rovers.....dilemma is do i overtake or follow....i followed - cannot overtake the Queen even if i am on a Triumph.

Is this a for real situation? And you are certain it was the queen?  If so awesome!

I'd be very wary of overtaking anyone / anythiong with Police outriders, unless they indicated for you to do so.
You really wouldn't want any CP escorts getting the wrong idea of what you were doing    :005:

yup this is for real, the pipers were at the braemar gathering (last and largest of the highland games) the queen and party were travelling from balmoral to braemar on what is a beautiful biking road.

And coconut i completely followed your advice.....you can still get thrown in the tower if your not careful!

I've been an avid shooter for years and am a Life-Patron-Benefactor Member of the NRA but I have to admit I've never heard that phrase before. Must be an English saying.
