Hi I'm ThickBrit, living in the central south-western UK.
Riding since 1978 with a gap for children etc, probably like most of us.
Ride every day to get around the country for work, over the last 5 years or so typically 25-30k a year.
Let my trusty Pan 1300 go in favour of a blue Trophy a week ago.

Couldn't justify the cost of the SE, but had the touring screen and heated grips fitted tothe standard bike.
Still awaiting R&G engine bars to be available and saving up for a top box so partner will feel more secure.
Splashed out on a pair of pannier liners and a fender extender with the last few remaining pennies....
Looking forward to some long trips in 2013.

...
25 - 30k per year ??  Wow !

The last time I did that kind of mileage was in a Vauxhall Omega, commuting 140 miles every day.  Easy on quiet dual carriageway in an Omega, not so easy on busy roads on a bike - you have my respect !

Mind you, I did use my 1999 Trophy 1200 in the better weather on "dress down Friday" - made the run home much more fun !

I've had it a week and done 500, so they soon rack up...
