Russell Day Long Sport Seat vs Corbin Dual Touring Saddle
« on: May 20, 2021, 09:12:44 pm »
It would seem the profile between these two seats might be similar.  Since there is no picture of this seat on Russell's website, who has a photo of this seat on their TTSE?  Has anyone had experience with both seats?  If so, which seat did you prefer?

Here is one.

The Russell on the TTSE is the cat’s meow for my butt.

Not a direct comparison, but I had a Corbin on my Kawasaki Concours 1400.  It was nice, but did not come close to the Russell.

But you have the standard Day Long, not the Sport, correct?

Sorry!  I absolutely missed the “sport” on your title!

Just curious why you are considering sport over regular?  I have a Terry’s custom seat on my BMW GS.  It is a smaller width version of a Russell and similar to their sport.  I requested that because I was concerned about the larger wings while standing. That being said those larger wings definitely give more support for my boney butt!

Why the sport?  Probably because it better matches what I'm used to (Corbin) and out of curiosity as I haven't really seen a lot of reviews about the sport model.  I've owned Corbins on two of my past scoots; a 1984 Honda Nighthawk 650 and a 1978 Honda GL1000.  I haven't ruled out any seat yet, including the Day Long, as I'm still gathering my review data.  :001:

The Day Long Sport is officially posted on my Christmas wish list, and I've been told if a windfall occurs before that it may happen sooner.  What a woman! :028:

I have a standard RDL saddle on my TTSE, I took it off my 2013 TTSE 60K miles and transferred it to my new 2016 TTSE which now has 75,000 miles (135,000 total miles).

I had a Corbin on my Harley Davidson Electra Glide which I did about 100,000 miles on.

The RDL is hands down the best saddle on any bike I've ever had, period.

In my view, there is no comparison a RDL is perfect.  Now I don't know the difference betwixt a sport and what I've got but these guys know saddles.

Just my $0.02 worth.
Love, light, and kindness,

Dave
