I am having trouble getting a Photo gallery account..
But the connector is a 660 Type as shown by Coconut.

How do you folks like the 660 Model? I will look into buying one. The XT is offered for 500 bucks in the US, kinda steep for something that does not fly or makes coffee...

Update: The "ancient" Zumo 660 is still mostly going for 300+ $, SO I decided to buy a cheaper and more recent zumo 390 off a Triump Tiger rider... it came with all accessories, including the 2pin connector receptacle.

next adventure is to now switch out the 660 cradle to the 390 one. Is the 660 wired into the audio system? Do I have to dismantle the cockpit for the exchange?

Thanks for sharing your experience...

The 660 may or may not have been connected to the Trophy audio system.

The connection is a Male and Female 3.5mm Jack Plug & Socket
located behind and below the left Mirror Pod and Indicator surround panel.

To remove the Cradle you will have to dismantle the Cockpit / Instrument Panel,
as the cabling passes through the Triumph Sat Nav bracket.

You DON'T have to remove the full Fairing to remive the Cockpit / Instrument Panel,
just the panels surrounding each Mirror and Indicator.

This Topic provides instructions on how to do that and shows the Audio Connector :

HOW TO: Fitting Triumph Sat Nav Mount & Zumo 660

Note that there is a plastic screw inside each mirror pod,
above the large headed Indicator bolt, that also have to removed
to free the main Instrument Panel surround.

One of these can be seen in the fifth Photo of the Main article -
above the hole where the Indicator bolt has been removed.

There is also another Allen Headed bolt a bit deeper into the Mirror pod
that is quite awkward to get at ( one on each side ) - In that same fifth Photo
you can see the base of the Radio Antenna, and the bolt is further to the left of that.

Cheers  :821:

I realized I never thanked you for the reply...  :431:
I used your  :460: to open the cockpit and fit the 390 mount- amongst some other mods I am tackling at the same (DLR LED in the blinkers, swap bulbs to LED, add auxiliary ligts to the crash bar and add an Strebel Air horn).

 :821: to all that.
