    windscreen for 2 up?

I want my wife to have quieter air as well. We're both 5'8".  What do you guys think of the V-Stream? What size?
Also, why are there sizes on eBay but not on nationalcycle[dot]com? Are the eBay ones fakes?

I have no experience of anything other than the Triumph screens,
but I just took a look at the National Cycles web site.

They only list one screen for the Trophy SE :

It is Item Number: N20608 which they list as a "Replacement Screen".

The Sizes ARE mentioned on their Web site :

Other Screens that I have seen on eBay include one that is 21" in height,
and another that is even lower than that, at a quoted 17.63" !

It may be that these are discontinued products,
which would explain why they are not on the official web site,
even if they are official National Cycles products - but you would
probably need to ask NAtional Cycles that question to verify.

    Cheers  :821:

I went for the larger V-Stream and couldn't be happier. The wife insists it's fully raised when we're on the highways and I lower it for the twisties. The only problem is the amount of water that comes under the screen onto the dash top in heavy rain. I can't remember if this was a problem with the standard Trophy screen because I swapped it as soon as I got the bike.
I't can get a "little hot" behind it on very hot days, but this is a problem associated with all larger screens on touring bikes. I also love how "bullet proof" the V-Stream screen is. I've got a few small chips from flying stones thrown up from other vehicles, but that's all. :028: :028:

I've found a shorter screen is a better solution to turbulence and buffeting than a taller screen.  Stand up on your pegs at highway speed sometime and see how much quieter and smoother it is.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I was happy to hear your confirmations.
The standard screen is fine on shorter rides, but the wind can get very tiring for her on day-long rides (even with ear plugs).

Do you use a Top Box?  I don't like the air flow riding solo with the top box but it made a big difference 2 up compared to without it.

Everyone is different but I'm with "Smash" and similarly considered getting a used screen to cut down. In the end I bought one of these inexpensive single point "spoiler" screens having used a German made one on a Tiger in the past. Turned out it did the job so well that I continued using it and only adjust the angle slightly for long Autobahn speed journeys. Protracted City riding I take it off and stick it a pannier to stop it getting nicked, otherwise it's unobtrusive. My point in mentioning this is, a few $$ spent to play around with might help with understanding what works for you before making a very expensive purchase.
