    Cold and rainy first trip

On May 7, I left Long Island, NY early to beat the traffic. Across the George Washington Bridge, then I95 to New Haven, Ct. There I turned north on I91 to Springfield, Ma.

The weather was cold and drizzly, but the Trophy was so much more comfortable in many ways than my previous bike, Sprint GT.

I find the old, sort of abandoned highways interesting, so I exited at Springfield to get gas and ride around on US 5 for a bit. The NorthEast is really historic and there are so many interesting things to see in older neighborhoods.

From Springfield I took I90 across the state to Stockbridge, where I picked up US 7 south through the Berkshire Mountains. This is very pretty country to ride through! I continued on 7 south through Canaan, Ct, then Goshen, and finally to Litchfield, where my daughter has a house.

Around 300 miles all told; a good first trip and I'm really glad to have a Trophy! This was a warmup for a trip south to Arkansas next week. Maybe I'll be able to get some pictures or video.

It is indeed a great bike even in very heavy rain.
I'm glad you enjoyed your motorcycle.

That is definitely a beautiful area of the US.  Sounds like a great round trip.  Do you ever make it to NH, VT, and Maine?

Nice trip!  Member Mahaflac and I will be staying in Harrison, Arkansas from June 1st till June 4th and riding some of the fun roads there.  Harrison is NNW of Little Rock.  Meet up with us there and you could become a "Twisted Trophies" Founding Member!  You may be our first New York member at that! :028:

The trip to Arkansas got scrubbed due to the thunderstorms forecasts.  Glad you got yours in.

    Thanks for the invite!
Sorry to say, I'm going to just miss joining your ride, as I won't leave here until the 2nd, and will be tied up with family stuff in Hot Springs and Dardanelle.
I've ridden some in the Ozarks, on my Sprint, and I'll be passing through on Highway 7 probably around the 10th. Nice riding around there, isn't it?
Looks like my trip is going to slide in behind the weather... hope so anyway.
