    I still love my Trophy

Out for a ride a couple weeks ago, I was going around a tight curve and hit a pothole.  It didn't feel as bad as it looks but when I heard the rim hitting the caliper, I knew there was damage.  TPM said I had about 25 PSI left so I limped on home, about 20 miles or so.  There was still 20 PSI left when I arrived.  I nabbed a used hoop on Ebay but decided to spring for some shiny, new disks for the old gal.  There was some pulsing with the old ones, despite an earlier effort to clean up the bobbins.

Yup, I still love my Trophy.  Nothing out there appears to be worth an upgrade.  Except maybe an HD Pan America.

That's a pretty rotor!  Glad you made it home safely.  And yes, there's nothing out there quite like our Trophys!

I am amazed to hear that the rim still held air with such catastrophic damage  :114:

Glad you're okay and managed to get home okay.

PS: British made tyre and rotors haven't gone unnoticed  :028: :001:

That must have been quite a pothole! I'm glad you made it through okay. This makes me wonder what other options there could be for rims. The pool of parts for this bike isn't exactly limitless.

New one lists at a ridiculous price on BikeBandit.  Something like $1600 and on top of that they're on back order.  Seeing as I want to ride this summer, I opted for used.

Parts availability is one concern for sure.

That must have given the wrists a real jar  :191: Can you claim against your local highways dept. ?

How have the Storm 3D's performed, I've read mixed reviews

So far, the Storms are nice tires.  I was hoping to get rid of a low speed head shake but it was still there.  Maybe the new disks will help with that.  Progressive paid for the new rim.  Municipalities don't normally do that.
