Guess no one else has experienced this warning????

Looks like the BATTERY was bad, and just replaced.  Bike started with the LOW VOLTAGE - RADIO OFF message, and then at around 4700 threw ABS DISABLED - SEE MANUAL warning.  Would come and go.  After some cajoling got the battery replaced under warranty.  No problems since, but only been 2 days and a couple 100 miles..  Fingers crossed...

A dud battery has lead to the same problems in abs ST1100s and ST1300.  While the battery might seem ok and the bike starts, abs seems more picky about voltage during starting.

That is a useful bit of info thanks.

Glad all is well now with the bike.

HAPPENED AGAIN TONIGHT!!! - Re: ABS is disabled warning: comes and goes
« Reply #5 on: September 24, 2013, 03:08:45 am »
Tonight on the way back from a friends house south of Superior, I again got the ABS light on, TC light on, engine warning light on, and display saying ABS Disabled - See Manual...

Almost exactly the same conditions.. Dark, cold, 54 degrees, cruise on, grip heaters on and off as was comfortable.

Lights came on just as the temp dropped to 54.  Remained on.

As I approached Superior, the temps began to rise, normal.   When the temps hit 58, I stopped, shut off the key, waited a few seconds, and restarted.   ABS light flashing (normal), engine light on (NOT normal).   As soon as I rolled far enough for the ABS flashing light to go out normally, the engine light went off and stayed off.   I rode a few more miles and the problem did not occur again and the temps stayed above 58.

I did not ride back out to see if the problem would re-occur as .. I was COLD!!! ...  As it gets colder, I'll try to verify the temp causes it..  I'd not ridden in such cold temps since the problem originally happened...

Is there a way to report this issue directly to Triumph in the homeland????

Dealer service thinks I may have a bad wheel sensor.  It definitely seems temp related; has never occurred above 58 degrees F.   He'll check for codes when I next visit, waiting on a replacement fairing piece that was a bit flawed...   In the meantime, the message comes and goes, goes away on restart normally....

Now that you mention weather conditions I did have a similar occurrence just once.  I took delivery of the bike in NY in April and temps were around 30-40 F.  On one ride I stopped for a quick bite.  I was about 100 miles from the dealer.  When I came back out the ABS light stayed on.  I wasn't about to hang out or call the dealer so I started riding anyway.  The problem never occurred again.  At the time I didn't think it weather related.  Just a one off anomaly.
