    Getting fed up......

So I went out for a ride the other week and my clutch slave cylinder failed in the middle of Preston.  :233: Managed to get the bike home to Wigan but it was interesting to say the least.

This evening I'm on the west coast of Cumbria and need to ride back to Wigan for work tomorrow. Get to the motorway in the dark and pissing rain and suddenly lost both headlights.  :233: :233: :233: :233: :233: So yet again managed to get the bike home all the way down the motorway with my full beam on annoying people on the way. Got it home got the bulbs out and both have blown. I know they were both working when I rode up to Cumbria on Friday so how odd it it that both have gone at the same time?

I'll collect the bulbs tomorrow and have fun fitting them tomorrow evening.  :110:

I've loved this bike since I bought it in 2014 but it is starting to piss me off. I know bulbs probably aren't the bikes fault but it is still annoying.  :157:

    Trust me......
    I ride a Triumph.

Sometimes life throws up curve balls davybull. Just suck it up old mate, at least the bulbs aren't hard to change unless you've got bloody great mitts.  :821: :028:

That’s a string of bad luck, I hope things get better.

If it's any consolation I've also had both bulbs fail at the same time (dipped beam) still went out anyway but it was daylight and a nice sunny day, bit of a bugger to change took me 90 minutes to do both , fitted halfrauds long life bulbs , bit yellow but i rarely go out at night and don't fancy changing them every year.

All sorted again now, Bike is forgiven after a nice test ride to make sure everything was back together OK (That's my excuse!).

See what tomorrow brings..... Wigan, up through the Trough of Boland up to Ingleton then Hawes and then across to Seascale.  :152: Lovely.

Kissed and made up  :028: sounds like a nice ride, hope the traffic is light.

I've had even good quality lamps go like that hitting poor road surfaces. I had both low beams go catching a pot hole on the A82 (Loch Lomond side) on a dark rainy night, bit of a  :107:  :172:  moment half way round a bend with a drop into the loch on one side and granite wall on the other (Devil's Pulpit)

That is why it is good to have two additional small LED headlights installed, in case of loss of light from the headlights (it is rare for both bulbs to break, but ...). You can always continue the journey home or to the place where you can replace your headlight bulbs.  :129:
