    Hello Everyone,

After my Goldwing gave up the ghost after 30 years I stumbled across a beautiful Blue Trophy SE at a local dealer and snapped it up right away.  A 2014 with only 850km on it. (There is a story).  The dealership went over it with a fine tooth comb, replaced the rubber, the battery, the fluids and anything else that was "aged".  Anyway my new steed is a lot of fun to drive albeit a different style of ride than before.  Loving all the "new" tech compared to the last bike.  Hope to find some good tips for care and maintenance and sources of parts while looking through the forum.

Riding smiles are directly proportional to the tightness of the corners.

wjenkins229  :400: from another Victorian down under. I got all surprised to see a new owner from Victoria. I thought a "new" riding buddy. But it wasn't to be. All the same enjoy that lovely clean Trophy you've found. And lets know "that story" on the low kilometres.  :821: :028:

Well thanks for the welcome and I have been a visitor down in Melbourne and area.  Spent 4 days there about 12 years ago.  The one thing I remember clearly was stating to my Father, whom I was accompanying, was that I would love to have my Wing down here as I could ride for months.  Just the coastal roads and the country roads near our Bed and Breakfast were amazing.  You live in a beautiful part of the world.  In fact, probably the most beautiful part of Australia.  I have been all over the country except for the west coast and the southern coast is one of my faves.

As for the bike story.  According to the sales manager some poor fellow purchased the bike in 2015 and rode if for about 3 weeks before breaking his hip.  After years of surgery and rehab he resigned himself to no longer being able to ride.  He gave the bike to his son who didn't take any interest in it and stored it in an open carport for a couple of years.  It came to the dealer caked in dust cement and looking long in the tooth.  The bike was just out of the shop from it's dealer restoration and on the lot for less than 2 hours when I saw it.  As it was a slow day at work I left early to test ride another bike they had on the lot when the mechanic pointed out this one.  I took it for a drive and that was that.  I was told the next day that had I not put a deposit on it the previous day two others were ready to buy it.   Seems I was lucky that day.

That is a good opportunity that cannot be rejected.

When I bought mine it was 1,470 km and two and a half years old. It was a case very similar to yours.

Great to hear the story on the "low kilometres". Also even better to hear that you and your father have visited my "little" part of Australia. Your right about lucky in Victoria, beaches, deserts, mountains [great for skiing] and the best part, great riding roads. Anywhere in "the high country" offers you endless combinations of riding nirvana. Then of course there's our "Great Ocean Road".
Maybe another trip by you is in order. That way I can "show you around". There again "your neck of the woods" is pretty special I'm sure. Cheers.  :821: :028:
