Looking at the wear pattern on the pads, I'd suggest cleaning out the cavities for the carrier bracket sliding pins and applying fresh red rubber grease, if you haven't already.

I have not.
I guess we'll have to meet there soon!

That was my plan before I discovered that one of the caliper pins was frozen in the bore. No amount of penetrating oil and heat could break it loose. BUMMER!

A quick internet search revealed a price of $561 for a new rear brake caliper.
Given the age and mileage on my Trophy, I decided to look for a used one, and was lucky enough to find one off a wrecked 2015 Trophy like mine in California, for $116 shipped. It was in excellent condition, and, being on its second set of brake pads, everything came apart easily.

I cleaned it up, lubed everything with brake grease, installed the new pads, and bled the system. I then inspected the front brakes, which were in good shape, and bled them as well. I really love my Speed Bleeders!
