Check the little things first!

After finally being able to give the new to me 2014 SE a shakedown,I had planned to ride her to airport for a work trip...
I noticed what I thought to be clutch slippage but assumed it was a TBW characteristic, getting to desired rpms fast and was planning on posting a question here to see what others experienced...Well a few miles down the road I start experiencing big slippage, look at the lever and reservoir and all looks normal, start to panic I'm gonna miss my flight...pull over to assess and the power cable for the phone had gotten caught under the clutch lever preventing it from disengaging.....
Check the little things first....

A friend once returned 1000 miles from an aborted trip due to 'bike running funny'.
Battery terminal was loose.
He'd agree....

Yup,but the first thing I looked at and suspected was the lever, just had to get out of traffic and over to the side of the road to have a look....If I wasn't trying to catch a flight for a job I would have just said Oh well crap happens, call a friend and a tow truck" but for about 10 mins it was a bit stressful....

I imagine the stressful moment with the lacing of the boot tied on the footrest. It was probably so he wouldn't get off the bike.

I got my legs stuck to unshielded exhaust pipes once, cheap waterproof trousers melted. Luckily I smelled it and managed to ride up to a lamp post to lean against while I ripped myself free, lucky as I was heading out of town and there might not have been even a tree for miles

I thought that only things happened to me that I could tell later.
Once I got on the sidewalk to park the motorcycle, with such bad luck, that when I wanted to put the side stand, I put my foot inside the box where there was a tree, there came a time when my foot did not reach the ground, the bike fell to the left. Wanting to lift the bike so furiously, I lifted it so hard that the bike fell backwards onto the pavement, but to the opposite side, that is, this time to the right.
