    Anyone else going ?

I'm going on Day 1, and expect to spend a fair amount of time
drooling over some of the Models that I can't afford,
that I will never have, and that I am probably too old for .....  :012:

..... then I'll go and have a look at some of the Motorbikes  !  :745:

A few of the Motorcycle Models that caught my eye yesterday :

BSA ( Originally "Birmingham Small Arms" ) having been bought by
an Indian Company ( Mahindra ) have unveiled their new
650cc BSA Gold Star, and very nice it looks too !

From what I was able to glean from a member of staff on the Stand, BSA are hoping
to resume production back in Birmingham ( UK ) within the next few months !

Another British revival is Norton Motorcycles, now back in operation
at a new 73,000 sq ft facility in Solihull, West Midlands,
only a few miles up the road from the Motorcycle Live! show.

Their 1200cc V4 ( 72 degree ) liquid cooled engine is carried across
their V4SV Superbike Model, and the newer V4CR Cafe Racer :

Meanwhile over on the Triumph Stand, the new Tiger 1200 Prototype was on display :

The finished Model will be unveiled at the Show on Tuesday 7th December.
Shame they couldn't have had it ready for Day 1 !  :027:

Some interesting differences to the design of our Trophy, and / or the Explorer XC,
with a brand new design of 1200cc triple engine, having a cable operated clutch,
still having Shaft drive but with a double sided swingarm.
( The rear brake pedal pivot bolt looks somewhat familiar !  :164: ) :

Moving away from the "Adventure" market to Street bikes,
I quite liked this new 1200 Speed Triple RR :

A close rival I suspect to this offering from Ducati, their Streetfighter 2 :

All in all a great few hours mingling with like minded people.

Some great demonstrations in the "Ring", and even a competition
to see who could change a rear wheel in the fastest time !

    ..... and I spent less than £200 !  :745:

The BSA news came as a surprise.  As the owner of half a dozen BSAs I've been waiting a long time for a Mahindra product since they bought the brand name.  I honestly thought the whole thing had died a death apart from the possibility of a small capacity bike mass produced for the masses....

Depending on the price (and I can't find anything about that so far) a new BSA could be my last bike.....

Yes, half the BSAOC will no longer speak to me but life goes on.....  :008:

The staff on the BSA stand didn't have ( or weren't prepared to disclose ) any pricing !

Good point about entry requirements - If you buy Tickets On-Line
there are prominent notices explaining the requirements on the Web Site,
but if you intend to buy tickets at the door, you might not be aware......

Much the same as other similar events, visitors are required to show proof
of their Covid-19 status, which will be checked prior to being allowed entry.

Accepted methods of proof are one of the following :

    • NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App within the previous 48 Hours
    • Proof of immunity following a Positive PCR Test result within the last 180 days
    • Negative PCR or Lateral Flow Test within the previous 72 Hours
    • NHS Covid Pass letter
    • EU digital or paper Covid certificate, or equivalent International documentation.

After being checked prior to the entrance point, if in orderm, a Green Wristband is issued
which staff at the Entrances will asl to see prior to checking your Ticket and allowing entry.
