Not really a direct answer to your question but here's how I mounted my Zumo. I might build some more if there is any interest.

Good God Man, how do you see the road???  :008:

Hmmm. good question. I suppose I see the road just like everybody else.  :016:

My shelf doesn't sit that much higher than the Triumph mount. It's a nice HUD display. Much better than when I had the GPS's mounted on the mirror stalks on my K1200LT.

I moved the second GPS up onto the shelf and will be giving it a good test this weekend on my trip to Gerlach, Nevada.

I have just fitted a zumo 550 to the triumph mount. I made a small plate to fit the 4  holes on the mount and 2 more higher up the plate so I could fit the zumo to the top  2 holes of the mount through the plate and to the higher holes in the plate. I found that part of the gear indicator was covered by the zumo weather cover. I have cut this bit of rubber off and can now see all the display. I just put the cover in the zumo case when not in use.

Cool.. Where did you get the shelf???  I have an accessory bag I've had on my last few bikes and I'd like to mount it on the TTSE but haven't quite figured out just how yet...  Shelf would work!
Thanks!

Well....
I added a hydration pack and a cupholder. Does that come close enough for you? ;-)
