Hi All, New Year New Bike!

Called into my local dealers this morning to put a deposit on a 2017 TTSE. One owner, just under 11K and main dealer service history. The last owner bought it new from them and traded it in for a Rocket 111.

Saw the bike before Christmas and read everything I could on this brilliant forum, plus all the you tube videos I could find.

Saw nothing I disliked,  so went in to the dealers this morning and they had reduced the price by £300 since Christmas. Result!

Pick it up on 10th January.  60 years old but still feel like a kid at Christmas.  Cheers all.

What were you riding?  Did you test ride?

At 60 you may well be part of our Forums Youth Policy......

Hi Dave, not had a test ride yet. Put a deposit down subject to a test ride. It has to go through the workshop now and get a new MOT. Just had an email from the salesman putting my collection back a week as due to an advisory on the last MOT they are replacing front discs and pads and replacing the rear brake light switch.

Yeah, was lucky with the brakes. Last MOT said tyres were close to limit and I saw they had been changed for Angel GTs. But I missed the bit that said "slight front brake fluctuation" Luckily the salesman said he'd get that looked at, then when I got home he said they were changing the front discs and pads and although Triumph have them in stock would just put my collection date back a week to make sure it was all done and not rushed through. So far very happy.

McVicar  :400: and congratulations on the New Years present to yourself. At 60 years young you'll take no time at all to come to grips with the Trophy. Can be a little top heavy in slow manoeuvres. With out a doubt the finest touring bike I've ridden. Now there's a statement. Cheers.  :821: :028:
