Yes, it is fabulous, but it is also somewhat complicated because those horseshoe curves do not have visibility when you are going to enter the curve.

The Trophy is a very long bike and when entering the curve it must open up a lot, which is dangerous.

From your photos it looks like the road is maybe a lane an a half with rough looking pavement and a good bit of traffic is present. What kind of speed are you running on curves and straight aways?

Some years ago we did Stelvio and then there were pieces of the asphalt in bad condition. I guess it must be better now, or maybe worse.

To make the Stelvio tornantes they must be done from Monday to Thursday, on weekends the car traffic is horrible.

They also say that Italians driving do not respect motorcycles. We didn't have any problems with anyone.

The speed ... I don't remember, but I did go with great caution, we would go between 70 or 80 km / h since when leaving a tornante, the next tornante is on top of you.

When arriving at the curves, my wife, as she is sitting in the back seat, remains in a place of the highest seat and she would see if a car was going down, therefore, through the intercoms she was telling me if a car was going down or going up . (Depending on whether we were doing the descent or ascent of Stelvio.

On the way down through the tornantes by Stelvio Pass (Bormio), we came across a bus that was carrying some ladies (nuns) as passengers. The bus did not fit through and neither could we pass, so the bus kept going in reverse and downhill until it found a spot on the road where the bus and the cars could fit. We had in front of us a car with a trailer caravan with a family of two children and we saw that the car was approaching the precipice of the mountain with great risk of being able to fall off the precipice.

We stayed that way for about 2.5 or 3 kilometers until I saw the opportunity to pass. The bus and the other cars that each time were approaching the show en masse were a great feat.

When we got down where it is already a valley, we stopped at a bar to have a coffee and we stayed for about half an hour, during that time we did not see any car get off. So imagine the one that would have involved between the bus and the car with a caravan (rulot) and each time there would be more car retentions ...

I took a ride north of Phoenix to Cave Creek. The elevation increases steadily as you leave the "Valley of the Sun", and reaches 2,700 feet. The Phoenix metropolitan area is surrounded by mountains, so if there is no wind for several days consecutively, the air becomes very stagnant.

You can see this layer of dirty air on the horizon in the photo I took of my Trophy.

I took a ride out to Bartlett Lake, northwest of Phoenix. It, like several others in the area are impoundments to collect as much run-off and rain as possible for the growing population.

In response to Saddle Tramps question about bobv07662 post of the Loveless Cafe pic. Loveless Cafe is on the west side of Nashville, TN. USA near the Natchez Trace Parkway. Good food and a nice ride.
