Finally received my Christmas present yesterday and was able to get it installed.  I think it turned out pretty nice looking and it sounds great in the driveway!  I hope to take it out tomorrow for a spin after work to see how she sounds under load.

I did weight the two exhaust systems, including brackets, and came up with a solid 10lb weight savings over stock.  I also took the time to flip the front suspension bolt around while I had the exhaust off.

    Cheers!

Lookin' good.  I went with the carbon fiber version. Very happy with mine.

I was able to squeeze in a 55 mile ride yesterday and I must say, I'm quite the happy customer!  Under acceleration, the sound is aggressive and pleasant, not tinny - overall tone is deeper and has a nice presence.  There is no drone at any cruising speed and I noticed no popping with the "X" insert in place.  Overall, I would recommend this exhaust system!

I tried mine without baffle.  Didn't change the sound that much except a lot of popping.  Like it better with the baffle.

I noticed PipeWerx has quite a number of choices. I've been strongly considering one of their pipes , but don't know a lot about the different variations. I'd like one that is long lasting and won't discolor from the cold wet winter riding I do. I'd like it to be black to match my black Trophy. And a very deep tone. I figured the owners would have a fair opinion so I'll take what your willing to share. Thank you in advance.

I can tell you from following Yaga 1973 that his has a great sound when accelerating and subdued nicely when cruising.  I thought it sounded great!  I've been considering the carbon fiber one, but not sure what the carbon fiber does to the tone.

Thanks, Trophied! I must say I enjoy the sound as well. I almost ordered the carbon fiber but was told by Pipe Werx it would probably yellow a little as it grew older. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I was looking for.
