Getting prepped for a trip to the Alps in May.  Road pilot 4 GT's on the SE at the moment with about 2 mm left.  After ringing around a few dealers here in NI, I am getting a set of Road 6 GT's fitted on monday for £310 all in (about $382 or €351).
I think this is a pretty decent deal?  Black circle are looking £364 delivered plus I would have to get them fitted.

Mine have only rolled on pavement by hand so far.  As soon as I have the bodywork back on it the rear is getting a few miles immediately.

So, I took the bike out yesterday afternoon for the first run since getting the road 6GTs fitted.  WOW!  These tyres are a revelation on my TTSE.  I came off Road 4 GTs, but the result was like chalk and cheese.  The bike felt far more assured and predictable.  I was rolling it through corners like I was not able to do on the 4's and I gave me a confidence I hadn't felt in the bike before.
Now to qualify, I only got the bike last June, and the 4s were already on it.  When I changed to the 6's, they were about 80% through their life, so I know its not comparing like for like.  However, I am so pleased with these Road 6's.  A bit more expensive than the competition, but so worth it.

I loved the Road 6 GT's for as long as my bike held up on the Twisted Trophies Razorback Classic get together in Arkansas.  Terrific grip and used them past the tread pattern, all of us used more of the tire.
