Still 3 Months to Riding Season - What can I do?

    Hello Everyone,

To those of you who live in conditions of being able to ride all year round safely and comfortably.  My envy is full.

I walk out into the garage at least once an evening looking for something to do on the bike.  But I'm not successful.  I bought the bike late last year, came from the dealer with everything done, new tires, new fluids, new lines and hoses (see my welcome post for reasons why). With only 800 km since buying it I don't see a reason to redo any of it.

So far I've installed a phone mount, re-routed my USB from the glove box to serve as power source for the phone, taken off all the plastic and cleaned in behind it, and washed and waxed it to death.  I've purchased a converter to plug into those funky euro 12 volt plugs  that has two USB out plugs, one for my forward facing Go Pro and one for the Rear Mounted Go Pro.  Just waiting on some cables from amazon to run those to the proper locations out of site.  I am about to install elastic cargo netting on the outside of my panniers to stop stuff from falling out.  I've mounted velcro on the inside walls of each case. One to secure my 12v Tire inflator and the other to hold the NOCO booster. Also I've applied 3M plasticky stuff to my tank cover where my knees rub on it.  Totally invisible so I am happy with that.

Does anyone have any other little niggly work fidget thingys that I can do to prepare for April.

I look forward to your genius thoughts

1st Road trip is 5 day Interior of BC starting May 24th. A slow and easy trip because I'm taking my neighbour who isn't ready for more than 500k a day he says.

Riding smiles are directly proportional to the tightness of the corners.

    Hey Buddy!
There aren't many places where you can ride comfortably all year round.

If you do enough searching on this Forum, you might be surprised at how many accessories can be added, if that's your thing.

In my case, after I added every farkle I wanted, I just found a place to escape to in the Winter. Then again, I know I'm a lucky guy!

When I run out of things to do, I like to get drunk and start fights on the internet.

HAHAHA, you just have to say what you want to place on your Trophy. "Ask and it will be given to you".  :821: :821: :821:

It's just a guess, but could it be a Nitrous Oxide Canister. I've always felt my Trophy had enough power. But then again every man has different ideas. Just saying.  :745: :745:

I give up - what is a NOCO booster ?

This is a type of battery charger/maintainer.

I used to keep my bikes on a charger from a brand called Ctek, but since I work for a company that makes battery chargers, I have a new state of the art one made by the company I work for.

I have always kept my bikes on a battery maintainer - winter, summer and everything in between.  I find much longer life span of batteries.

@wjenkins229 , I feel your pain.  Winters here are terrible!  Can’t wait for riding season…the worst is I can’t even work on mine as I have yet to pick it up from the dealer!!
