Hello from Somerset, UK
« on: September 25, 2013, 08:29:20 am »
Good morning all.
I have been riding the Honda Deauville for the past three years and as I am hoping to do a bit more touring before I get too old  :183:, began looking to upgrade to perhaps a Pan. It was while visiting a dealer looking at some secondhand Pans that I first came across the Trophy and what a bike!
I arranged to test drive one at my local dealer and had the opportunity of quite a few hours riding covering motorways, towns and some of Exmoor and on returning done a deal to buy the actual demo bike I rode (Trophy SE in blue) although it was less than 3 months old and 400 miles on the clock! I collect it this Friday after having some accessories fitted (top box, heated grips, front mudguard extention and satnav bracket) and its first service I believe. There was a saving of about £1500 on going new so I am pleased with the deal and raided my pension pot accordingly!
The last Triumph I rode was back in the late 1960's and was a Tiger Cub about 200 or 250cc I seem to remember. Nice to come across a dedicated forum for the Trophy so early in it's life and I look forward to reading other owners experiences.
