Heads up - USA - Bike Bandit appears to have filed Bankruptcy

I peruse the advrider.com forums and see someone posted having issues with obtaining back-ordered parts and after canceling never received a refund.  I've used them as they are one of the few that offer OEM Triumph parts.  Well, they list OEM parts but often show things as back-ordered.  In any case, someone posted they found the following:

Today I find this on Wikipedia:
On 02.07.2022 Vey's Bandit LLC filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, case number 22-00294-CL7

I checked and the address shown in the Bankruptcy filing matches what Bikebandit's website shows as their address.  I guess there could be a difference between the business names/structure but the initial posting also indicated "Every two weeks or so since then I emailed or phoned to follow up. No reply to my emails and the line is always busy and a recorded message says that "due to high call volume they can't take any calls".

Not sure if they are still accepting orders but their website doesn't seem to indicate any issues when I just checked.  So take this for what it is.  :084:

Hermys is reliable, but there doesn't seem to be much follow up.  I've ordered from them multiple times and even when it must have had to come from the UK didn't seem to take an awfully long time.

Hermys is both a Triumph and BMW Dealer, with e-stores for each. I have dealt with them for both brands for years, and have experienced excellent support, but especially by phone. There shipping is free for amounts over $60, if memory serves correctly. I just received an order from them two weeks ago, as a matter of fact...

I've had good, personal follow up from them the few times I've ordered.  Most recently, I ordered replacement fairing guards (the rubber bits on the ends of the mirror pods) and one was on backorder from UK.  I got a personal email from their parts guy letting me know, and asking whether I'd like the other one and the crush washer I ordered to ship immediately.  I had them hold everything till all was there since I wasn't in a hurry.

On a side note - I bought my 'new' '15 in 2019, and one of the fairing guards was already cracked, apparently from dry rot, since the bike had been sitting around for 4 years.  Since then the other one befell the same fate.  Until I got the new ones, I didn't realize how not pliable the originals actually were.  Used to be a major struggle to get the lower mirror surrounds seated in them.  When I pulled the old ones today, the whiskers to pull them into place all just tore off.  The new ones are lovely - installing the lower mirror surrounds is a breeze now!
