Can anyone identify this rubber part ??

While I was working to lube the driveshaft splines and suspension needle bearings,  I noticed a small rubber part on the floor.  I'm almost certain it fell off the Trophy from somewhere.

Anyone have any idea what it is and where it goes ??   It looks like it slips over something.  Here is a pic :

Are there any Part numbers on it anywhere ?

Nothing springs to mind, without trawling through the Parts list.

No PN and I did spend some time looking through the parts list before I posted, BTW.

It's probably not that important the part is installed, but I was hoping someone might recall the part.  I've never seen anything like it before.  It looks a little like a little "shoe".  It definitely is made to slip over something and has a little round protrusion on the under side  to help lock it into place.

I don't see that photo very well, but I've never seen that piece of rubber on the Trophy.
Only motorcyclists know why dogs stick their head out the car window.

Could it be some aftermarket cover for the shift lever?  One sold often as a shoe/boot protector.

There are little rubber buffers that sit between the seat and frame, I think two, perhaps?
