Hello everyone.  I am a current Tiger 1050 owner for the last 4 years.  I love triples!  I just finished a 3.8k trip on my Tiger which i have set up to tour.  I am realizing i need a dedicated tourer and I am looking at the Trophy.  Looking forward to learning more here!

    Hello Ironmaiden and welcome.

Sounds like a heck of a tour on the Tiger! Would love to see some photos from the tour 👍

I was a Tiger 1050 owner before my first Trophy, Great bike but as you’re finding out it has its limitations in comparison to the Trophy.

I put 30K on my Tiger in 1 year and 7 months fun to ride.

Here’s the day I made the Trade.
I haven’t looked back but I have had fond memories of my Tiger!

As an aside, does anyone in the UK know of anywhere at all that sells both Triumphs and BMWs from the same site?!

The Tiger 1050 has been a great bike.  It does everything fairly well.  I have put about 20k on it in three years.  After riding through Kansas and Oklahoma in 35mph winds, the Trophy would have been a better choice:). In the mountains and in the Ozarks though the Tiger was great!

You could defintely benefit from the Trophy!
I wondered what that was that you’d managed to fit on the back of the bike, in the second photo (thumbnail image on a phone screen), but it turned out to be a rusty outbuilding 😆
