What Riding Boots do you Wear?

    Hi All
I'm looking at some new riding boots.
Obviously something that works well on the SE.
At the moment i have some Alpinestars.
But not a fan when stopped. They are very slippery soles.
When wet or the slightest bit of oil or anything on the road.
Some im looking for some input on what people wear.
    Im out in Canada.
So i realize might be some different choices.
    cheers

I took my new Alpinestars down to the shoe repairers and had proper, hiking boot, soles fitted! 😁

I wear Forma Terra EVO Low Boots.  An adventure-style boot.  Very comfortable while riding and walking.  The shift toe cap has held up better than any other boot I've worn.

I've found that I enjoy the ankle support of work boots while riding. This gives me more support & less fatigue when holding a heavy bike up while stopped. I also have been using "waterproof" boots for decades.
I've found that the insulation of good work boots keeps me warm in the cooler weather &, also, wards off engine heat in the summer.
The "waterproof" capability keeps my feet dry in the unforeseen shower or rain.
The substantial sole of work or hiking boots gives me good grip at traffic lights & stops.
I have backed from full height work boots down to 3/4 height suede finish boots that are a good bit lighter.
In all this, I do not use any "steel toed" boot. They are a bit too thick for any good shifting "feel" or comfort.
So, for over 50yrs of riding, these are the type of boots that I've found best for me..
    Practical, durable & relatively economical.
A good man once told me, "Don't sell your bike. It's your soul."....

I'm presently wearing Dainese X Tourer boots. They took a long time to break in but are now comfortable though a little tight fitting. Just like their gloves, the leather doesn't stretch much. Last boots were Triumph which were very comfortable, waterproof and lasted many miles. Before them were Prexports, also recommended.
