Just picked up a 2013 Trophy and I feel like I won something, though I won't be able to hoist it over my head at the award ceremony.

I'm relatively new to the motor bike world.  3 years ago I picked up a starter bike (Suz TU250X) and out grew it within about 3 weeks.  Good to learn on though.  Really liked the retro looks and reviews of the Bonneville, but ended up buying a 97 Triumph Thunderbird SPORT which I simply love.  I'm 6'3" and the bike is just too small for me to go on road trips (with the wife who took over the Suz, then bought a Bonnie).  So after discovering what a Honda Valkyrie is I absolutely had to have one. Bought a 97 and really love it, but it rides like a 69 Chevy Nova with headers and soft springs.  I'd like to do a multi-day trip and I'm just not too confident in the Honda (104,000 miles) and wanted something reliable and COMFORTABLE.  So the wife is up for a long trip and I started looking around for a "less expensive" used touring bike.  I found a good deal on an 05 BMW R1200RT, but it needed a clutch which added $2K to the cost on top of the other used bike mysteries.  Then I stumbled across a 2013 Trophy with 40,000 miles, new tires battery and recent fluid-etc service.  $6K looked reasonable to me when I compared what other bikes in this class are going for in this area.  I'm super stoked with my new whip.  I have a lot  to learn  about this computer on two wheels, and thank this community for all of the shared info.

    Welcome AZ2W 👍
It took me 40 years’ riding to get to my first Trophy, so well done for not hanging about 😁
    Enjoy!
