Pulsing brakes (again)

So its the old story of pulsing brakes.  Got my TT about a year ago and quickly developed pulsing in the brakes which the previous owner never had.  Replaced discs and pads with EBC discs and Ferodo pads and it fixed it but over a few hundred miles it came back.

Now I have a theory and some questions.  Theory is I tend to brake exclusively with the front brake but hold the bike with the rear.  If I'm doing that and braking a bit hard I'll be heating the discs and pads but not the lower front pads as these don't apply until you put the rear brake on...as I understand it. Now if I come to a halt and apply the rear brake while stationary would the hot disc bake on material from the cold set of pads whereas if they were hot this wouldn't be a problem?  Or less of a problem? 

So if this is potentially the problem I'm thinking I need to clean the discs, particularly the right one.  I've tried brake cleaner and wet and dry before and it seemed to work a bit but not 100%.  What is the best way (without machining off the surface) to remove the deposited material and rebed the brakes? And does anyone have an opinion on my theory?

I also apply the rear brake so that it helps to stop safely and the bike doesn't do weird things when stopping.

What I often do is apply air with a compressor to all the brake pads and extract all that dust that comes out, after passing air through the brake system and the brake discs, a good improvement is noted.

Maca, My Trophy didn't get the pulsing until somewhere in excess of 50000 miles. On cool or cold mornings the pulsing wouldn't be noticeable until the temperature of the air and the rotors rose then the pulsing would be more noticeable.  I put up with it for another 18 or so thousand miles.  Broke down and bought EBC rotors and EBC double H sintered pads.  I did the recommended 10 hard stops from 60 to 20 mph in quick succession to heat up the rotors and bed the pads.  The bike currently has just shy of 70000 miles and no pulsing whatsoever and super good braking. I got to thinking since this is my only" bought new bike" maybe bedding in the pads should have been done from the time I bought the bike new.  Or then again it may return in the future with the new rotors and pads.  Time and miles will tell.

And here I thought it was only me! This should not happen on modern motorcycles. I believe it is due to the manufacturers using poor quality materials.

Heavy braking means lots of brake dust which can build up on the bobbins and stop the free play, which in turn will warp the disks.
Do you have free movement on the bobbins ?
Always worth giving them a clean, google how, the nut, bolt and washers method is my favourite.

The EBC bobbins don't spin like others so are harder to clean but I have freed them regularly.

Just had the bike in for an annual service and the shop said you need new brake pads and discs. I didnt have a go at the guy because it's not his fault but I said these discs are 3000 miles old. Can't believe I need new discs after that length of time but he is positive the discs are warped.

I'm sick of these brakes, first it was the OEM ones and now EBC ones. I've never had brake trouble like I have had with this bike and its almost a deal breaker (scuse the pun). I love the bike but absolutely hate the brakes.

Anyway, can only seem to find EBC or OEM discs (UK). Does anyone have any other recommendations for available discs?

Thanks merritt64 and digital. I think I'll try the brembo discs. Can see any brembo pads advised for the trophy, do you know if there are any?
