    Saddlebags and rain

    hi,
I'm heading out for a 10 day ride in Novia Scotia and the weather forecast is showing lots of rain. How water tight are our saddlebags? Should I pack my clothes in a garbage bag first?
    Thanks

Ive been caught in the pouring rain a few times and haven't taken in any water. I have also wiped the rubber gaskets with some silicon to keep them soft and playable to maintain a good seal

Good to know. I hope to get to travel some when things cool down some.

Youíre not going to have any problemís.

The air conditioning works great mine but usually only between October and March,,,😵‍💫 , it was only 109 here in Dallas yesterday OKC canít be far behind.
I have the OEM tank bag and I have a Camelback water bladder with a hose so as Iím going down the road I can just pull the hose out and get a drink it helps.

Thanks for the replies. I did put my clothes in zip lock bags to make it easier to manage. Those saddlebags can hold a lot.

I've been caught in some horrific downpours and never had anything get wet in the luggage.

I did that in my backpacking days.
