To my mind,  the heated seat is an utter waste of time.  I had my seat modified with gel insets and Saddlecraft DID retain the heated function,  but I never use it.  I think the whole concept of heated seats on any bike is a waste of a designers time.

The seat is better with the rubber bumpers removed from the back.  It's not great still, but I'm not sliding forward as much now.

I have some old peg droppers from a Honda VFR 800 I used to have Tenequip.  I'm going to try those out.  1" can make a big difference, I know.  I'm going to look at bar risers too.

Of the folks that got a Russell Day Long saddle, did any of you use a " low" riders seat as the donor for the seat pan?

I may not remember right, but weren't all US Trophies delivered with the Low seat as standard?  If so, then mine is certainly a Low seat pan.

Was just wondering. Currently fairly happy with the standard comfort seat from Triumph. I have a spare seat, the stock low seat that came with the bike, that always pushed me forward/very uncomfortable. I was considering using it as the donor for the Russell Day Long. Just wondered if it was a bit higher after their work, kinda hoping so.

Yep - it adds 1/2" - 1" to height depending on exactly how it's rebuilt. Much more comfortable too.
